Falling in Love with Stocks

“Do I love you because you’re beautiful? Or are you beautiful because I love you?” ~Richard Rodgers and Oscar Hammerstein II, Cinderella

These are the only 2 questions you need to ask before investing in any stock.

Let me restate them from a stock investor’s perspective.

Do you love the stock because it’s a great investment?

Or the stock is a great investment because you love the stock?

World has seen only 2 kinds of investors –

  1. The Stock Shastris: Ones who know the UGLY truth about investing in stocks and thus make the right moves at the right time. Making profit is more of a habit because of their deep understanding of not only the market but also of the stocks they love. Basically they know everything about their love.
  2. Tickr Rams: People who are so much in love with the stocks they never bother to find out whether it’s a great investment or not. They just follow claims from experts that this is a beautiful stock. The ones who will always want Aishwarya knowing very well that she is already married to Abhishek, even though beauties like Priyanka, Katrina, Deepika are in the waiting. Honestly they know nothing about their love.

A Stock Shastri would like to go out on a few dates to get to know the stock better before investing in it. He will try his best to find out who she truly is; what is her true value. Doesn’t this seem logical?

Think about it; Why would you want to hurry up and fall in love with the wrong stock?
But that’s what most of the stock investors seem to do; fall in love too quickly with a stock without knowing  her true value.
Stock Market CrashRemember a stock has the power to erode away your hard earned money much more quickly than a girl. Although the previous statement seems not true just ask Tickr Ram who lost all his money in the recent market crash. He had to undergo therapy for a year to recover from that debacle. Because when a girl breaks your heart even therapy is of no use, you are pretty much done!!!
What I am saying is you can save yourself from such therapies by being a Stock Shastri rather than a Tickr Ram. Learn the UGLY truth of stock investing and you will never lose your heart to the wrong stock… Again!!!

PS: As for the matter of falling in love with a girl; you think I’ll be writing about stocks if I had the answer to this one??? I would recommend searching for a dude who goes by the name David D Angelo on Google to know more about that Ugly truth.

  3. I drop a leave a response each time I especially enjoy a article on a website
or if I have something to contribute to the discussion. Usually it’s a result of the passion communicated in the post I looked
at. And on this post Falling in Love with Stocks!!! | Stock Shastra.

I was excited enough to post a leave a responsea response 😉
I do have 2 questions for you if it’s okay. Could it be simply me
or does it give the impression like some of these responses look like
they are left by brain dead people? 😛 And, if you are writing on other online sites, I
would like to keep up with you. Could you make a list the complete
urls of your social sites like your Facebook page,
    twitter feed, or linkedin profile?
